WHO WE ARE

  The Afri-Soul Marketplace is comprised of African American business and organizations under a collaborative agreement. The business and organizations provides services; social, advocacy, educational, economical, spiritual, Arts and resources by and for African Americans.  Each business and organization brings their individual services to the marketplace. The marketplace functions under the leadership of Small World Trade and Travel as the managing organization and founder.

Vision 

To bring the African American community out of the shadows and into the light, To have a “go to” place for all things African American in the greater Phoenix area for families, individuals, professional, and the community to experience culturally relevant support, resources, news and a network dedicated to their interest.

 Bringing together a network of African American organizations and business with the goal of advocating equitable treatment; supporting educational opportunities; providing resources and showcasing cultural richness of AA children, families and community in Arizona.

The Open Market Place: Host to several small businesses with products ranging from custom t-shirts, and Afrocentric clothing, detergent manufactured by a Black owned business out of Washington D.C., natural skin care products by a African American esthetician, custom face mask and head wraps, coffee products from Africa, art, mask, statues and the traditional products such as incense, white sage, essential oils, Shea butter, jewelry and so much more.

Services: Offered are the services of an esthetician who specializes in skin of  color offering a full range of services including facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and derma plane; SARABO a custom fashion designer, tailoring high quality Afrocentric fashions for men, women and children; a graphic artist and print shop that is capable of taking care of all your design and printing needs. A photo and video studio are available for your special photo and video projects.  NOVIEA provide gently used clothing, clean, sanitized and ready to wear for men, women and children. Small World African Art and custom framing provides framing services for your art and art purchased at the Marketplace. Urban Greens: small individual plants easy to take care of indoor plants, just right for apartment and condo living. 

 

Co-Work , Art Gallery, bookstore and café: Features beautiful original art from Africa, Cuba, Haiti African American artists, a book store specializing in African American authors, fiction, non-fiction and children’s books. Co-work space for 8 individuals for a professional and cultural relevant place to work and conduct business. Conference table available for meetings or to spread out and great coffee or a smoothie to soothe hunger pains.

Unity Room: A state of the arts professional meeting room for small gatherings of 25 or less. Available for meetings, workshops, birthday parties and any business, family or community sponsored event.

Community Events:  Due to COVID-19, all community events have been postponed until further notice.  The Marketplace is open Friday & Saturday from 12-5PM. (MASKUP/AZ) Lets stay safe! All areas have been sanitized and only 10 persons at a time in the Marketplace. Mask required!
